Church Clean Up Day on 9/6

As we gear up for Fall Kickoff, we want to get our building ready as well. We will need people who can help in all sorts of ways including moving heavy things, organizing & decluttering areas, and even wiping down the pews. Plan to stick around if you are able! Pizza will be provided!

 

 

Red Sox Outing! RSVP Required

Everyone is invited to join us for a church outing to a Red Sox game on Sunday, September 13 at 1:35pm!

We’ll meet in the CSC Fellowship Hall at 12:30pm and travel to the game together on the T. Tickets are $34 per person.

Children ages 3 and under are free if they sit on a parent’s lap. We have a limited number of tickets available, so be sure to RSVP and pay online to reserve your ticket(s). Tickets will be allotted on a First Come/Pay, First Serve basis.

Farm In The City – Saturday, September 19

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 19 for a special day to connect with other families and enjoy a petting zoo at Dana Park in our neighborhood of Central Square.

Come say hi to some friendly farm animals, enjoy the outdoors, and hang out with other families from the neighborhoods. Everyone is welcome! Feel free to invite friends and families as well!

Hiking at Middlesex Fells Reservation – Saturday, September 26
Everyone is invited to join us for a 2 hour, moderate Fall hike at the Middlesex Fells Reservation on Saturday Sept 26!
This event is a great way to be outdoors and to build community. Carpooling is available but not guaranteed. Hiking will be from 9-11am but for those who carpool, we will be meeting at CSC at 8:15am and arriving back around 12pm. Those who meet us directly at The Fells can meet us at 9am.

Traction Ministry Field Trip

Join CSC for an immersive experience to learn about Traction ministry on Saturday, September 26 from 1-4pm (carpool available). We will explore the Black Block in Pawtucket, RI led by Traction founder Leslie Moore. Leslie is implementing the Traction model by sharing her life and resources to create a Black economic and cultural hub to revive the downtown of a former mill city.

We will also gather to celebrate Jahvon Goodwin’s creative expression through art and poetry. Jahvon has been connected to Traction Ministry for over 15 years. He will share with us artwork he is creating while behind bars. We plan to hear from him during our time together.
