Soup & Sustenance: A TLI and TLII Gathering
Transformational Listening classes have been an integral part of the life of Central Square Church since 2015. Over the past eight years, 68 members have participated in TLI. 12 have gone on to serve as spiritual directors in different capacities! When PAX first began the pilot program, it was rare, perhaps even unprecedented, to see churches engage in such a large-scale effort to train congregants in the art of holy listening. Now, more churches around the country have come to value this ministry of presence. As Rama reminds us, it’s important that we carve out time to pause and look for the fruits that God has been nurturing in us.
We’d like to bring together the first ever gathering of TLI and TLII participants! Over a warm bowl of soup on a cold winter day, you’ll meet TLI and TLII participants across different cohorts. We will reflect together on how our participation in this training has had an impact on our individual and collective spiritual formation. Whether you were in TL1 many years ago or are currently going through training, no matter what kind of season you are in, we invite you to come. Our hope is that this space will be one where we can take a communal pause and listen to how God has been at work in each of us and in our church community.
