Guest Speaker: Rev. Dr. John O. Page

A native of Albany, Georgia, Dr. John O. Page accepted the call to the ministry at the age of 23. He was licensed to preach the Gospel under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. Larry Edmunds. Dr. Page is excited to be called as the 17th Pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Hackensack, NJ, and was installed on May 22, 2022. Mount Olive Baptist Church is a mid-size urban ministry committed to meeting the needs of the community whether local or global. The church has a well-established reputation for its involvement i

n global missions not limited to financial contributions, but also engages in hands-on outreach. Most of all, Mount Olive’s mission is to meet the spiritual needs of the community.

Dr. Page is passionate about equipping and uplifting communities, as well as sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He is a servant leader, always willing to give his time, skills, and resources to religious and community causes. He is a gifted preacher, teacher, scholar, visionary, and a dedicated leader seeking to better humanity one person at a time. He is a sought-after preacher and teacher and has preached for the National Baptist Convention and in pulpits across the country.  Dr. Page is also a proud and active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

Dr. Page’s formal education includes Certificates and Degrees from Northeastern University Boston University (UNIX Administration certifications) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M. Div. M.R.E). He also received a D. Min. from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH for his research project: “Uniting A Divided House: Bridging the Gap between Multi-Generations through Discipleship, A Praxis for Intergenerational Ministry”. Prior to accepting the call to serving his current role at the Mount Olive Baptist Church, he served as the Director of Finance for The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts (TABCOM), He has also served as the Senior Pastor of Mount Moriah Baptist Church (Brockton, MA), as well as the Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church (Medford, MA).

Dr. Page has also been afforded the opportunity to serve as a board member for a number of civic and religious boards, among which are the Commission Board for Baptist Ministers in MA, The United Baptist Convention of MA, RI, and NH; as well as the Chairperson of We Got Next, a movement dedicated to the empowerment, education, and discipleship of Young Adults.

In addition to being the Pastor, Dr. Page is the proud husband of Celia A. Page.  Together they have four amazing children, Amaia, Jelese, Gadi, and the baby, Johani, and the newest additions of “grand-twins.” Pastor Page is a sports enthusiast who is a die-hard fan of the San Antonio Spurs. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as traveling and trying new restaurants.
