CSC Overnight Retreat at Grotonwood: June 13-14

Join us for our All Church Overnight Retreat! The retreat will be a great opportunity for the entire church community to come together and deepen our relationships with one another and with God. We encourage everyone who considers CSC to be their church to join us!

The theme for this retreat is “Learning to Abide” – Five Markers of Relational Attachment to God and our very own Eric Brown, will be our speaker for the weekend!

Like last year, our Sunday Service on June 14th will be held at Grotonwood at 10:30am. This part of the retreat is free for everyone to attend as there will be NO SERVICE happening at 5 Magazine St that day. This year we will also provide lunch after the Sunday Service for everyone who comes out!

Peace Workshop Series:
Living Faithfully Under Authoritarian Rule

The next session of our Peace Workshop series is on May 31 at 12:30pm in the Lower Elementary Classroom with a workshop on Living Faithfully Under Authoritarian Rule, led by Rev. Clifford Maung, Pastor of the Overseas Burmese Christian Fellowship.

Rev. Maung will share about his experiences growing up in Myanmar, also known as Burma, under an authoritarian government, and current experiences pastoring a Burmese congregation in the United States. He will share about what it means to live faithfully in uncertain times and under oppressive rule.

This workshop is open to the public so feel free to invite others. Childcare will also be provided. Visit centralsquare.church/peace-workshops to sign up for childcare, for more information and future topics coming up.

CSC Engage: Ministry Exploration Survey deadline extended to 5/25

Please complete the CSC Engage Ministry Exploration Survey!  Complete the survey here.

This short survey (7–10 minutes) will help the staff team and Church Mission Council better understand the congregation’s gifts, interests, and availability for participating in—and growing—CSC ministries.

We invite all attendees (6th grade and up) to share your honest responses so we can better serve our community and help everyone get connected to what God is doing in our church.

NOTE: The questions asked on the survey are different than those asked during the live sessions, so we’re asking you to take the survey whether or not you participated in a session!!
