Harvest Fest is Saturday!

Harvest Fest is happening on Saturday, October 28 from 1-4pm at Clement Morgan Park! We’re excited to partner with Pentecostal Tabernacle in hosting a fun fall event for families in our neighborhood! This is a great event to get to know and love our neighbors—you’ll meet other CSCers, our PT brothers and sisters, and neighbors living in the area who drop by!

Traction Field Trip

Join CSC on Sunday November 5 for an experiential and immersive experience to learn about our ministry partner Traction!

On this trip you will learn how Traction founder Leslie Moore and others are radically applying the Traction model of resource sharing to build a Black economic hub in downtown Pawtucket, RI. There will be a tour of the Black Block led by Leslie which includes a performing arts center, mini-mall, indoor park, housing and properties still being developed. We will also spend some time imagining what sharing our lives, social networks and resources could mean for us collectively and individually.

RSVP online and sign up to give or receive a ride. We will leave from CSC at 1pm and plan to arrive in Pawtucket at 2pm.

A Day Apart (Together)

The Families Ministry, in partnership with the PAX Center, is putting on a married couples retreat on Saturday, November 4 from 10am-3pm at CSC. The theme will be on the role of desire in our relationship with God. The format for the day will include time for you individually to be with God with guided listening and reflection in the morning, followed by an afternoon of communal sharing and listening with your spouse and then with other couples.

Register online by October 30. Registration deadline for guaranteed childcare (ages 6 months and up) is October 25. More information about cost, childcare, and what to expect is available at centralsquare.church/married.

Community Lunches

This fall, we are focused on building Life Together as a church community and deepening connections with one another. So, on November 19, the entire church is invited to have lunch in small gatherings at church members’ homes in or near Cambridge! We hope to help people connect across different demographics and let people engage in more intentional ways over a meal. You are invited to gather, eat, and get to know other people in our church community!

We recognize it can be hard to meet new people but we encourage everyone to participate and take this time to break bread together! Lunches will start at 12:45 PM at different homes and will last around 2 hours. RSVP today at centralsquare.church/lunch.

Sunday School

Pastor Jean and Myron Poon will take us through CASKET, a teaching tool created by Dr. Carol Kaminski at Gordon-Conwell to help understand and remember the Old Testament. It goes through an overview of the Old Testament, and shows God’s redemptive plan throughout Israelite history. Join us on Sundays from 12:45-2:15pm in the elementary classroom from October 22 to November 12! More info can be found here.
