Due to a delay on boiler work for the sanctuary, there is NO HEAT in the sanctuary on Sunday, November 20. To be clear, the rest of the building (fellowship hall and classrooms) will have heat.

Here is what’s on deck for this Sunday:

  • 9 am: Sunday School about The Letter of James in elementary classroom – LAST ONE!
  • 10:30 am: Sunday service will be shortened. Pizza and hot cocoa available at fellowship time after the service!
  • 12-2 pm: *New time and location* Sunday School about Shedding Perfectionism — more info below.

Please dress warmly (you may want to treat this like an outdoor service) as much as you are able. We’ll also provide temporary handwarmers and hot drinks. For those whom these temperatures may too extreme, we offer a live stream of the service on our YouTube channel.

Updates for “Perfectionism” Sunday School on Nov. 20, 12-2 pm

  • LOCATION changed to the Lounge
  • FOOD provided during fellowship time
  • Childcare provided in the PreK classroom—no RSVP needed, but please feed your kids before dropping them off

Sunday School Description: In our lives as students, professionals, and disciples of Christ, perfectionism can be a roadblock to joy and real “productivity”. Join us for “Shedding Perfectionism and Finding Joy in our Work,” led by CSC congregants Dr. Chandra Mallampalli and Beverly Chen, LCSW, as we discuss how perfectionism rears its head in our approach to our work and in twisted notions of what it means to please God. We’ll also talk about what scripture calls “life in the Spirit” as a path out of perfectionism and into the abundance that comes through grace.
