What is A Day Apart?
Welcome to a mini-retreat series. Throughout the year, days have been set aside for you to be with God in an environment of quiet restfulness. Each retreat day has a theme & a reflection guide to accompany you in your time with God. You will also notice that these days coincide with the church seasons as you experience the story of your life enfolded in God’s story of salvation.
The day includes:
A reflection on the theme offered by the retreat facilitator
A written guide with suggestions for prayer & meditation
Spiritual direction available throughout the day
Ample space for personal quiet & reflection as the day is held in silence
Time for communal sharing & listening as we close our day together
Times & Fee:
The retreat flows from 9am to 2:30pm EST. The fee for the day is $40.
Fees are to be made payable to PAX & sent to the attention of Rama Ziegenhals, PO BOX 93, Essex, MA 01929.
Location:
The October 22nd retreat will meet at Central Square Church in Cambridge, MA (5 Magazine St). The 2022-2023 Day Apart retreat locations will be released periodically, The dates can be found below if you’d like mark them on your calendar now for the year ahead.
October Day Apart: Creating A Rule of Life
Fall is upon us & with it comes the start of many things. As the lazier days of summer slip behind you, how can you sustain a rhythm of connecting with God? During this retreat, we will give you time, encouragement, & some teaching on creating a Rule of Life. A Rule of Life is a pattern, or rhythm, of spiritual practices that you design to provide soul care for your spiritual life.
What spiritual practices would you like to have as part of your rhythm? Spend time at this Day Apart resting with God & pondering how to care for your soul & keep it connected to the True Vine.
